There are some new make up products in da house and that just makes me happy. Welcome home new products!
I can’t deny it, I’m a make up freak. Trying out new products is just so exiciting. I feel I can now say I know what looks good on me, what suits my skin and my features. This has been a long journey that requires a lot of experimentation and that sometimes means I had really bad make up days. Obviously I still have a lot learn and brands to discover but for now I’ve been gladly exploring drugstore brands and small cult brands that have a fresh perspective on beauty products. Some of these things I bought a few weeks ago and I can already say how I feel about them, I’ll make another post about the others the future.
L’Oréal True Match Super-Blendable Foundation in W4 Natural Beige
Glossier Stretch Concealer in Medium
I bought the Glossier Stretch Concealer just before the holidays and I really love it. This is an excellent daily concealer for women that are not looking for a heavy under eye look. It is not a high coverage concealer, I would say it has a light to medium coverage, and it’s very hydrating (great to conceal zits). You definitely have to set it with a powder to avoid streaks but I do that anyway. Finally it leaves you under eye are looking healthy, light and bouncy.
I’ve been a huge fan of Revlon nail polishes, they’re so amazing and have the most beautiful colors. These two I picked are the perfect winter colors for me. I’ve been rejecting reds and plums for a few years now so sometimes it’s hard to find substitutes but this rust color is on my nails right now and I’m loving it. I’ve only worn the Maybelline Color Sensational lipstick a few times so far but it’s already a favorite, I’ve never worn such a comfortable matte lipstick. The only downside is that it doesn’t last hours and hours like other lipsticks I have but I don’t care because it doesn’t kill my lips.
L’Oréal Voluminous Feline Eyeliner in Noir
The Maybelline Fit Me setting powder is an oldie but a goodie. It’s considered a cult product from the brand and it absolutely deserves that tittle. It looks perfect on the skin and I can say this because I almost can’t see it when I apply it. It set my make up without leaving it looking caked and doesn’t take away that healthy glow I like to keep. It’s making it hard to miss my Hourglass setting powder. The L’Oréal Telescopic Mascara is another cult product among youtubers and bloggers. I got to know it because of a portuguese youtuber that has the best lashes I’ve ever seen so I was very curious to try out the mascara she’s loyal to. Although I don’t get the same result as she does I was amazingly surprised, it leaves my lashes looking very long.
The L’Oréal Voluminous Feline Eyeliner is as far as I know a new product from the brand and I’m really enjoying it. It has improved my eyeliner game but I feel that it doesn’t last all night longing perfect condition so I’m still on the market for a new eyeliner.
Finally, this little sponge has been on my online shopping carts for about two years but the Beauty Blender always made me forget about it. This time I didn’t resist it and I’m giving it a go. My trusty Black Beauty Blender need to be retired so I did my research and this Real Techniques baby is the only one that compares to it, according to the reviews. I’ll let you know in the future how it behaves.
Have you tried any of these products? How do you feel about them?
