Seeing red

Red is one of the colors of the season, you’ll be wearing it on your feet, your body, your lips and nails but now you’ll be wearing it on your eyes as well,  thanks to Chanel Le Rouge Collection from Lucia Pica.

One of the Fall beauty collections that caught my attention was the Chanel Le Rouge, the debut collection from Chanel global creative makeup and color designer Lucia Pica. When you think make-up and the color red your mind goes immediately to lipstick and nail polish, I actually came to the conclusion recently that I either wear lip balm or red lipstick so I understand the connection. Red nail polish is a different case, I like it but I’m over it. It’s like marmalade, I loves it as a child but I ate so much marmalade that I just can’t smell it now, well let’s just say I don’t own a single shade of red nail polish so you get the point. Now, what really caught my attention was the eye make-up. A red toned eye make-up is probably the riskiest eye look you can pull off. There’s a thin line between looking cool and rad or just looking like you have an eye infection. When it’s done well, especially if you have green/blue eyes, it can look so cool that I had to try it. Obviously, since I’m pretty low key when it comes to make up, I didn’t go full red, I opted for really warm browns from the Zoeva and Too Faced Eyeshadow palettes but the effect is still the same. I loved it and it’s definitely going on my go-to make-up looks for when I go groceries shopping just kidding.
